The Small Business Center at Brooklyn College has a new director, Clinton Daley, a 15-year veteran of business-development agencies. Daley haClinton Daleys run his own marketing and management consulting firm since 1999.

A Jamaican immigrant, Daley says he is especially excited about working with businesses in this diverse borough. He says he’s looking forward to helping to realize “the synergistic benefits of having these diverse groups working side by side to establish and grow businesses and to create and save jobs in the Brooklyn community.”

He says the center will also take a leadership role in trying to help Brooklyn emerge from the current economic crisis by helping local businesses secure government contracts as well as some of the funds authorized by the federal government’s Troubled Asset Relief Program.

The center was established this summer thanks to support from State Senator Kevin Parker and funding secured by  U.S. Senator Charles Schumer, U.S. Representative Ed Towns, and Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz.
