Dear Brooklyn College Community:

We have all been shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic event in Haiti. Our hearts go out to the students, faculty and staff who have loved ones and friends there.

At the request of Chancellor Matthew Goldstein, CUNY is organizing a response initiative, under the leadership of Peter Grant Jordan, Interim Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs, to support local relief activities and humanitarian efforts.

Our campus representative for this effort is Dave Bryan, Special Assistant to the Dean of Student Affairs. We will also be reaching out to the leadership of the Haitian community in Brooklyn, to offer any assistance that can be helpful, and to lend our support. Information and updates will be posted on the Brooklyn College website.
