Bring Your World to Brooklyn

International students have a special place at Brooklyn College, in no small part because of their special place in Brooklyn. We're a city of immigrants—an invigorating mix of language and culture—and we love the energy and perspective our neighbors from other countries bring to our city and campus.

Because you are coming from far away, it's important that you apply as early as possible. Our admissions staff will answer your questions about admission requirements, immigration issues, financial aid, and housing. To make an appointment to meet with an admissions counselor please click here.

If you are having trouble with the English language, you may want to enroll in the American Language Academy for a semester. It won't count against your duration of status (D/S)—the length of time you are allowed to stay in the United States. If there is a problem with your visa, the College's Lay Advocate Program offers free legal advice and can direct you to qualified legal representation. International students also can benefit from the Julius Glaser, '45, Book Loan Fund for International Students and Graduate Students, which pays for up to $500 worth of books and school supplies.
