Our own Ron Gold is a membership chair of our chapter. He worked for 25 years for Exxon (now ExxonMobil) and was head of their international division’s energy and economic planning group. Ron was VP of the Petroleum Industry Research Foundation and is currently associated with PIRA Energy Group, an energy consulting company where he works on a variety of energy and environmental issues. Earlier in his career, Ron worked on tax policy issues for the US Treasury Department. He was an assistant professor of Economics at Ohio State University. Ron received his BA in Economics from Brooklyn College and his MA and Ph.D from Princeton University.
