Stepping Up to Brooklyn College
More than half of our student body begin their college career somewhere else, then transfer to Brooklyn College because they found a small town limiting, or a large university overwhelming, or because they needed a more affordable option. A good number also come to Brooklyn College after earning their associate's degree at a community college.
Our admissions staff will be happy to talk to you about admission requirements, transferring credits, and financial aid and scholarships. Students transferring from other City University of New York colleges can even determine online which credits will transfer to Brooklyn College.
Use the BC Transfer Credit Tool to obtain lists of courses from your non-CUNY college that BC has already evaluated and assigned BC equivalent courses.
Visit the CUNY transfer credit website to obtain information on transfer credits between Brooklyn College and other CUNY campuses.

Many of our programs—such as the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship, and the Minority Access Research Careers—also offer special options for transfer students.
