Visiting Students (Non-Brooklyn College Students)
Students in attendance at colleges other than a CUNY college who wish to take graduate or undergraduate courses at Brooklyn College may enroll as visiting students. They must complete either an Undergraduate Visiting Student Application Form or a Graduate Visiting Student Application Form and submit it to the Enrollment Services Center, located in the lobby of the West Quad Building. Students must also satisfy the New York State immunization requirements specified by the Brooklyn College Immunization Office; however, there are no immunization requirements for summer sessions. Visiting-student status is valid for one semester only. New applications must be filed for each semester of attendance.

Please note:

  • International applicants are not accepted as visiting students at Brooklyn College.
  • Registration for math courses requires obtaining permission from the math department.

CUNY Permit Students
Students in attendance at CUNY colleges who wish to take courses at Brooklyn College may file an e-permit. Please consult with your home college for instructions and procedures on how to file an e-permit.  Once the e-permit is approved, students will receive an e-mail from Brooklyn College explaining when, where, and how to actually register for the course.
