SUMMARY:K-Pop Dance Class
DESCRIPTION:The Korean Culture Club is holding a Korean pop dance class that provides an opportunity for students to participate in modern Korean pop culture through creative movement. \nThis guided workshop includes introductory warm-ups and dance instruction that covers the chorus part of Fifty Fifty’s hit single “Cupid.” Near the end of class\, students can participate in an end-of-class filming\, where they can access the recorded videos afterward. \nThe workshop is a great opportunity for students who want to de-stress after midterms\, for friends who share  an interest in Korean popular culture\, or for anyone who wants to try a dance class without the monetary pressure.

SUMMARY:5th Annual CUNY LGBTQI+ Student Conference
DESCRIPTION:This year’s theme\, Beyond the Rainbow: Centering Marginalized Voices in the LGBTQI+ Community\, invites us to look past surface-level representation and visibility to engage in deeper\, more meaningful dialogue about equity\, inclusion\, and intersectionality within our community. While the rainbow flag symbolizes unity and pride\, it also challenges us to recognize that not all experiences within the LGBTQI+ spectrum are equally seen or valued. \nBeyond the Rainbow encourages participants to explore the diverse identities and lived experiences that shape our collective story\, including those of transgender and nonbinary individuals\, queer people of color\, people with disabilities\, immigrants\, and others whose voices are often pushed to the margins. Through workshops\, panels\, and storytelling\, we aim to amplify these perspectives\, spark honest conversations\, and strengthen solidarity across differences.

SUMMARY:B.F.A. Capstone Thesis Exhibition 2025
DESCRIPTION:This spring\, the Art Gallery at Brooklyn College is hosting an exhibition featuring student work created as part of the Art B.F.A. Capstone Thesis course. The exhibition will run through June 6. An opening reception will be held on May 13 at 5 p.m. The gallery is located on the lower level of Boylan Hall. \nAbout the exhibition\, curator Tahir Karmal writes\, “Here\, the artists push against their own silos\, using their work to break down barriers. This exhibition is not just about self-expression; it is a confrontation with how we hide from each other\, and an urgent call to consider how we might connect with one another despite our differences. At its core\, this work asks us to face the risks of honesty—and the compassion required to meet each other fully.” \nRead More \nExhibiting Artists \n\nLeah Bennett\nDylan Calderon\nKevin Cardoso\nYadira Cepeda\nVivian Ellis\nElena Grachev\nAmani Hanna Gripper\nWafa Haider\nJin Wen Huang\nJesse Irizarry\nZain Latif\nCindy Peralta Rodriguez\nJeanette Tebele Terzi\nLeiah Thompson\nJian Lin Wang\nJenny Yu

SUMMARY:Lavender Graduation
DESCRIPTION:Lavender Graduation is a celebration\, a declaration\, and a refusal to be erased. It honors LGBTQIA+ students who have navigated academic institutions that were not always built with them in mind—students who have excelled\, led\, and fought for their right to exist unapologetically. This ceremony is both a milestone and an acknowledgment of the barriers these students have overcome and the futures they are forging. The event will feature a keynote address\, entertainment\, and a reception\, bringing together students\, faculty\, families\, and community members in an atmosphere of joy\, solidarity\, and recognition. \nA Lavender graduate is anyone who is graduating from college and identifies as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. If that applies to you\, you are encouraged to sign up to walk at Brooklyn College’s Lavender Graduation ceremony. \nGraduates Sign Up Here Audience Members RSVP

SUMMARY:The Entrepreneurship Experience Program
DESCRIPTION:This spring\, students participating in The Entrepreneurship Experience Program (TEEP) are collaborating in teams to develop business plans for a diverse array of enterprises.
