DESCRIPTION:Thanks to the TV show Pose and to last year’s first ever CUNY-wide Vogue Ball at Brooklyn College\, the rich history of ballroom culture and houses is gaining mainstream attention. Whether newly founded\, “legendary\,” or “iconic\,” house culture is a vitally important part of New York City Black and Latino LGBTQ+ history. We invite all students to attend our workshops on house and ball culture featuring mothers from the NYC KiKi ballroom scene. \nPresented by WADW (What a Doll Wants) Productions\, in collaboration with the LGBTQ+ Resource Center.
