DESCRIPTION:The first of three public meetings to solicit public input on the environmental review for the project. \nWhat is the IBX project? \n\n\n\n\nThe Interborough Express is a proposed new transit line that would convert a 14-mile freight line into a commuter rail service connecting neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Queens. \nThe project aims to improve transit access for hundreds of thousands of residents and create better connections between different subway and LIRR lines. \nThe MTA is currently in the environmental review process under SEQRA (New York State Environmental Quality Review Act) to determine the project’s potential impacts. \n\nVisit the IBX project page on the MTA website.
