Program Overview

As a Law, Rights, and Power minor, you will be introduced to the institutions and processes that create, interpret, and implement laws. Classes will help you interrogate the political motivations and influences behind the passing and implementation of laws, and illuminate how laws can be a double-edged sword.

A minor allows you to make interdisciplinary connections and expand your academic studies beyond your major. With a minor in law, rights, and power, you can set yourself apart as a candidate in a variety of professions, particularly in the legal profession, administrative agencies, and nonprofits with a focus on law.

Minor Requirements (12 Credits)

At least 12 credits of the following: POLS 3120, or POLS 3121, or POLS 3122, or POLS 3123, or POLS 3124, or POLS 3125, or POLS 3126, or POLS 3128, or POLS 3151, POLS 3240, or POLS 3243.

All 12 credits must be completed at Brooklyn College with a grade of C- or higher. Similarly, to enroll in any course students must have completed the appropriate pre -requisite courses with a grade of C- or better.
