Brooklyn College has once again been recognized as one of the nation’s top colleges, being ranked third in the United States for “Best Value” on The Wall Street Journal America’s Best Colleges 2026 list.

The ranking highlights colleges that deliver the greatest value to students by measuring factors such as quality of the learning environment, time it takes graduates to pay off the cost of their degree, completion rates, postgraduation salary potential, and campus diversity.

Brooklyn College has consistently emphasized career readiness, expanding opportunities for students to secure paid internships and apprenticeships through strong partnerships with New York employers. These efforts ensure that graduates not only earn a degree but also enter the workforce with the skills and experiences needed to succeed.

In compiling the list, The Wall Street Journal conducted one of the largest-ever independent surveys of U.S. college students. Nearly 120,000 undergraduates shared their perspectives on career preparation, learning opportunities, and campus life, making this one of the most comprehensive looks at higher education today.

This recognition follows another recent honor: Brooklyn College was ranked no. 6 in the North for Social Mobility by U.S. News & World Report, underscoring the college’s long-standing commitment to advancing students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Together, these accolades affirm Brooklyn College’s reputation as a place where education creates opportunity, upward mobility, and lifelong success.
