Keith Haring, Picture Books, and Cookies

In connection with the current exhibition of Keith Haring prints, this special event is a cozy celebration of art and children’s literature. Associate Professor of English Matthew Burgess will read from his illustrated biography, Drawing on Walls: A Story of Keith Haring, followed by a conversation with Provost April Bedford about the particular magic of picture books. Milk and cookies will be served, and participants are invited to bring a favorite children’s book to share. Co-sponsored by the Art Department, English Department, the Office of the Provost, the Office of Student Affairs, and the School of Visual, Media and Performing Arts.
