Pumpkin Smash 2026

Join the Brooklyn College Sustainability Club and the Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability for the 2026 Pumpkin Smash. Help keep organic waste out of landfills while enjoying a fun, hands-on sustainability event at the BCEats Farm, behind the Tow Center/PAC and Whitman Hall Theater. Bring your old pumpkins and gourds after Halloween, or use pumpkins provided at the event if you do not have your own. Participants can smash pumpkins for composting, learn about food waste reduction and composting, enjoy refreshments, and connect with fellow students interested in sustainability. Volunteers are also welcome. A valid Brooklyn College or CUNY ID is required for entry.
