Payment Due Dates and Cancellations

Your payment due date corresponds to your initial registration date. Failure to pay tuition and fees by the due date could result in the cancellation of course enrollment.

What You Need to Know

  • If your tuition remains unpaid past your payment due date:
    • You will receive an e-mail indicating that your courses are at risk of cancellation if payment is not submitted immediately.
    • A hold will be placed on your account that will prevent you from adding or swapping courses.
  • If your enrollment is cancelled:
    • You will receive an e-mail indicating this information.
    • You may re-register for open courses on CUNYfirst (if you have no holds that prevent registration). Registration cannot be reinstated.
    • A $25 late registration fee and $18 change of program fee will be assessed if you re-register after the term begins
  • If you are expecting financial aid, make sure your award appears as “Pending Aid” in the “Account Balances” section of your Financial Account tile on the Student Center page, otherwise any remaining balance may put you at risk of course cancellation.
  • Nonpayment and not attending courses are not considered an official drop. If you do not plan on attending courses for any reason, please drop your courses prior to the tuition payment due date. Otherwise, this may result in a liability charge according to this schedule.
