Caribbean Studies

More than two million people from the Caribbean live in the New York metropolitan area. That makes Brooklyn College an ideal place for you to study Caribbean culture, history, and contributions to the world. You will attend lectures from world dignitaries, participate in conferences, secure internships that cater to the local Caribbean community, and have ample opportunities for research and travel to this vibrant area of the globe. Our interdisciplinary program draws on the departments of Africana Studies, History, Political Science, Puerto Rican and Latinx Studies, and Sociology to offer a dual major to undergraduates.
