By declaring an art history minor, you will get a diverse understanding of art and culture, with an emphasis on global art and interdisciplinary connections. Through a close examination of the artistic achievements of human civilizations, you will explore many forms of expression, including architecture, fashion, painting, photography, sculpture, and visual culture.
Declaring a minor allows you to explore other areas of interest and make interdisciplinary connections, and allows you to set yourself apart as a candidate for job opportunities in a variety of professions in arts and culture, museums, media, education, and related professions.

Twelve credits in art history courses.
All courses must be completed with a grade of C or higher.
Prerequisite for entry to the minor: Art 1050 [1.3] or Core Studies 2.1 or Core Curriculum 1120 or Art 1010.
