Program Overview
By declaring a minor in mathematics, you’ll increase your computational facility, enhance your ability to apply mathematics to real-world problems, and develop an appreciation for the abstract reasoning at the heart of mathematics. You’ll also have the opportunity to gain experience with current mathematical software and technology, study computational mathematics, and develop expertise in financial mathematics.

Minor Requirements (12 Credits)
At least 12 credits in advanced electives in mathematics with a grade of C- or higher. With the permission of the chair, at most six credits of advanced courses from another institution may be accepted toward this requirement. Mathematics minors should consult with the department counselor for recommendations.
