Thanatology, Minor

School of Natural and Behavioral Sciences

Program Overview

With a minor in thanatology, you will develop foundational knowledge in the study of death, dying, and bereavement. Thanatology is a cross-cutting and interdisciplinary area of study with relevance across a wide range of professions, from health and human services to the arts and humanities. If you’re interested in going into a field in which you’ll interact with persons experiencing death, dying, and bereavement, or if you simply wish to understand the individual, social, and anthropological dimensions of these experiences, this minor is for you.
