What Is the Average Accountant’s Salary?

Many factors can affect the average accountant’s salary, including geographic location, education level, type of industry, and level of experience. Most accountants and auditors work full-time, and longer hours are typical at certain times of the year, such as at the end of the budget year and during tax season.

According to Indeed.com the average base salary for all accountants in New York City was $69,414 in 2023, but entry-level accountants make less than the average.  The average for accountants with more than 10 years experience was $79,922.  The average salary for a CPA was $126,334.  We offer two 150-hour programs specifically designed to prepare you for the CPA.  We also offer a BBA designed for students who want a more basic accounting education.
