Aquatic Research and Environmental Assessment Center (AREAC)

The Aquatic Research and Environmental Assessment Center at Brooklyn College is a hands-on experimentation laboratory and a center of innovation for aquatic ecosystem sustainability science. Themes at AREAC include:

  • Fisheries and aquaculture science
  • Environmental assessment and management
  • Biology and ecophysiology of aquatic organisms

We welcome students and faculty at the City University of New York to participate in research and educational opportunities at AREAC.
