Cancer Center Education

Brooklyn College prides itself on being as an engine of socioeconomic mobility that provides transformative, distinctive, and affordable educational opportunities. At the Cancer Center, we educate current and future STEM professionals to improve outcomes through research, education, and outreach.

Professor Maria Contel meets with participants at the college’s first Blood Cancers Symposium.

A Community of Scholars

We offer a wide range of educational opportunities in the classroom (seminars and workshops), the community (internships and training), and the laboratory (research opportunities). We focus on education and community outreach, in addition to cancer research in areas such as computational drug design, anticancer therapeutics, epigenetics, nanotechnology, inflammation, and photomedicine. We are also interested in translating scientific discoveries into real-world applications.

Funding Opportunities

The Cancer Center helps connect Brooklyn College students and faculty to grants that expand cancer-related research.
