At Brooklyn College, we believe that diversity is one of our greatest assets, and fostering this diversity is central to our mission. The Office of Diversity and Equity provides education about and facilitates the college’s compliance with state and federal affirmative action and nondiscrimination laws, including laws prohibiting sexual harassment. The office also implements university policies that enforce those laws.

How to File a Complaint

More Trainings
Chief Diversity Officer
Danielle Haynes joined Brooklyn College in 2025 as the Chief Diversity Officer at Brooklyn College. Previously, Haynes oversaw Equal Employment Opportunity, compliance, Title IX, and restorative justice practices at St. John’s University. She has also held investigative and training roles at the New York City Department of Education and at Baruch College. Haynes earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
