The social services/case manager supports students by coordinating services across the campus and within the community to assist students facing crises, life traumas, and other barriers that may impede their success.

Resources provided include:

  • Health insurance
  • Emergency housing
  • Food benefits
  • Referrals for supporting students through:
    • Domestic violence
    • Substance abuse
    • Legal problems
    • Other issues

Emergency After-Hours Resources

In the event you cannot reach Student Support Services and are facing an emergency of where to go, head to one of the following locations. These borough-based drop-in centers can help you stay safe for the night; provide food, clothing, showers, etc.; and give referrals for emergency long-term support. If you have accessed one of these services, contact the Brooklyn College higher education case manager for long-term support and case coordination.
