This event brings together Ian Rosenberg and Brooklyn College Interim Provost April Whatley Bedford to discuss his important and timely book, The Fight for Free Speech, as well as to explore current struggles around free speech, book bans, attacks on public libraries, and school curricula.
Rosenberg has over 20 years of experience as a media lawyer and has worked as legal counsel for ABC News since 2003. He graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and magna cum laude from Cornell Law School. Rosenberg is also an Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker, and since 2016 has been an Adjunct Lecturer teaching media law to Brooklyn College graduate students in the Department of TV, Radio and Emerging Media.
The event will launch a year-long series the Wolfe Institute will be hosting titled “Freedom to Teach, Freedom to Read, Freedom to Learn.”
