A Seamless B.S. to M.D.
Together with St. George’s University, Brooklyn College offers students a powerful opportunity to obtain a Bachelor of Science/Doctor of Medicine degree. Students spend the first four years of their studies as part of Brooklyn College’s premedical program. Qualified students then proceed to the Caribbean nation of Grenada to enter St. George’s University’s four-year Doctor of Medicine program, without competing for a slot.
Admissions Requirements
Applications are reviewed holistically by the teams at Brooklyn College and St. George’s University. Some general guidelines include:
- Students should have strong high school grades in the sciences and math.
- Upon conclusion of the undergraduate program, students must maintain a GPA of 3.40 or above and obtain a competitive score on the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) within five points of the average MCAT score for entering students, which is 498.
- Students must meet all admissions criteria of SGU School of Medicine.
- Students should apply to the joint program when applying for admission to Brooklyn College.
