Declaring your major is an important step in your academic career. Brooklyn College offers over 70 undergraduate programs, including B.A., B.S., B.B.A., B.F.A., and B.Mus. programs, and certificates.
Please adhere to all listed major declaration deadlines for the upcoming semesters on the Academic Calendar.
Based on your current status, select one of the buttons below for more information on confirming/declaring your major.
On your admissions application, you may have selected a major that requires an additional step to be officially declared. If you have applied for any of the majors listed below, follow the Change Major/Minor instructions below to re-declare your major. Without re-declaration, you will not be allowed to graduate with your selected major.
To change your major or minor:
Additionally, students with fewer than 60 credits can change their major to undeclared. Go to the Declaration of Major queue and select Undeclared as an option by following the steps below.
To remove (drop) a major or minor:
Note: Brooklyn College policy requires that you have a major at your 60th earned credit. Students who do not have a major at their 60th earned credit will have a hold placed on their CUNYfirst record preventing them from registering for classes or making changes to their schedule.
In order to declare or change your major, add a second major, or add a minor to your record, follow the steps below:

Brooklyn College policy requires that you have a major at your 60th earned credit. Students who do not have a major at their 60th earned credit will have a hold placed on their CUNYfirst record preventing them from registering for classes or making changes to their schedule.
