The Brooklyn College exchange program with John Cabot University in Rome is open to all Brooklyn College students with at least 45 completed credits. Students selected for this program will have the unique opportunity to study for a semester or year in Rome while only paying CUNY tuition, roundtrip airfare, and onsite living costs. Students can choose from a wide range of academic courses that are administered in English, with the exception of Italian language and studies.

This program is open to all CUNY students, though preference is given to Brooklyn College students.

Students may live in one of the several JCU-administered residence halls, in apartments shared with other students, or their own lodging in Rome. See the JCU website for information on housing options.
After admittance to JCU, you will receive a copy of its acceptance letter along with a link to apply for housing and to pay the housing deposit fee. Students will be contacted by the housing department soon after they apply to make the deposit.
JCU-administered housing is in high demand. Early application, especially for spring term, is strongly encouraged.
Cost of living in Rome
Students participating in the BC-JCU exchange program are responsible for securing their own student visas. This process should begin three months before the date of departure. Students should consult the Italian Embassy website.
