The Brooklyn College Latinx Heritage Month Kickoff Celebration is a vibrant community event designed to honor and uplift the contributions of Latinx students, faculty, staff, and allies who are making a positive impact at Brooklyn College. The evening will feature delicious food, lively music, and a joyful atmosphere that brings our campus together in celebration of culture, community, and solidarity.
We are proud to welcome New York City Council Members Tiffany Cabán and Alexa Avilés as special guests, who will share inspiring remarks and join us in recognizing the importance of Latinx heritage and leadership.
This kickoff is co-sponsored by the Department of Puerto Rican and Latinx Studies, Black and Latino Male Initiative, Student Activities, Involvement, and Leadership, and the Immigrant Student Success Office.
This event is an opportunity to celebrate Latinx identity, connect with peers and campus leaders, enjoy food and music, and be inspired by those leading positive change in our community. The celebration sets the tone for a month of programming that highlights culture, history, and activism.
All members of the Brooklyn College community are invited to attend.
