Professor and Associate Dean of Anthropology in the School of Natural and Behavioral Sciences Jillian Cavanaugh of the Anthropology Department was elected to serve and then assumed the position of President-Elect for the Society for Linguistic Anthropology at the end of November 2023 and will serve in that capacity through November 2025. After this, she will become President for another two-year term. As president she will be responsible for, among other duties, organizing and putting on a conference for the organization.
