M.D. Sass Investment Institute

Welcome to the M.D. Sass Investment Institute (MDSII). Martin Sass funded a student-involved hedge fund and the MDSII in 2015 as a new experiential learning initiative in finance and investments at the Murray Koppelman School of Business. Under the supervision of seasoned and successful professional investment managers, the MDSII provides students the opportunity to learn value investing strategies while receiving real-world training by helping to manage the MDSII long/short equity hedge fund. The MDSII focuses on analyzing publicly traded stocks as well as macroeconomic variables that affect valuations in the stock market. Consistent with the Koppelman mission of transforming our students into highly desirable employees, their participation in the MDSII provides them with real-world experience and expands their career-building opportunities.
