Ashanda SAINT-Jean, M.D., FACOG
Ashanda Saint-Jean is the keynote speaker at the first annual New York City Perinatal Mental Health Summit. A board-certified OB/GYN physician with more than 20 years of experience working in New York City, Saint-Jean is focused on the delivery of quality care to underrepresented minority women. Her life’s work has been devoted to excellence in health care delivery via patient-centered comprehensive care, which is inclusive of mental health wellness and combating social determinants of health.
If we’re going to make Brooklyn the safest place to have a baby, we have to prioritize new and expecting parents’ mental health. Mental health conditions are the leading cause of pregnancy-associated deaths in New York City, and it’s exciting to see Brooklyn coming together to change that and improve outcomes.”
