Mentorship defines the student experience at Brooklyn College. No matter who you are, or where you’re headed, Brooklyn College connects you with people who support you every step of the way.

Presidential Lecture Series
A new lecture series featuring President Anderson in conversation with high-profile leaders aimed at exposing students and the extended college community to inspiring ideas, courageous leadership, and models of civic engagement and civil discourse.

We Stand Against Hate
Created in 2017, this ongoing initiative features lectures, workshops, concerts, programs, and events that reflect our enduring commitment to elevating dialogue, enhancing understanding and compassion, and celebrating the voices that make up our diverse campus community.

Biography

Michelle J. Anderson was named president of Brooklyn College in 2016. She holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz, a J.D. from Yale Law School, and an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center.

The president is the highest-ranking officer at Brooklyn College, responsible for maintaining educational standards and advancing the academic mission of the college. The president serves as an adviser to and executive agent of the CUNY chancellor on campus.
