WGST Endowed Chair
Since 2006, Brooklyn College has supplemented its rich curriculum and programming in women’s and gender studies by hiring a leading scholar to serve in the role of Endowed Chair in Women’s and Gender Studies. Endowed chairs demonstrate their commitment to diversity and inclusiveness through their research, teaching, and/or service at Brooklyn College. Endowed chairs teach and advise students in four courses during the year. They also share the commitment of the faculty in building the visibility of the WGST Program by organizing workshops, lecture series, and public discussions that involve students, faculty, and community members.
