Last accredited in 2019, Brooklyn College has begun preparations for its 2027–28 Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) Self-Study, an important and collaborative process, as part of its re-accreditation application.
The self-study provides the college community with the opportunity to reflect on our achievements, evaluate how effectively we fulfill our mission, and identify ways to strengthen programs, services, and operations in support of student success. The self-study affirms our ongoing commitment to academic excellence, institutional integrity, and continuous improvement.
Throughout this two-year process, faculty, staff, students, and administrators will work together to examine the college’s practices and outcomes in relation to the MSCHE Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation. The self-study will not only demonstrate compliance with accreditation standards but will also serve as a catalyst for institutional learning and innovation.
If you have any questions or would like to provide feedback on the self-study process, please contact members of the Main Steering Committee or contact us by email.
