Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration
The senior vice president for finance and administration is responsible for the planning and management of all financial and administrative functions of the college, ensuring that all college and CUNY fiscal policies are implemented and appropriate procedures codified and implemented.
Alan Gilbert
Alan Gilbert was named senior vice president for finance and administration in March 2018. He received both his bachelor’s degree in accounting and M.B.A. in finance at Baruch College (CUNY).
About the Office
The mission of the division of finance and administration is to connect the academic and programmatic activities and aspirations of the college with financial, physical, technological, and human resources. This is accomplished by providing a safe and comfortable environment, accurate information, relevant tools, and timely services to the Brooklyn College community and external stakeholders.
The following areas report to the senior vice president for finance and administration:
- Office of Budget and Finance: Our primary functions are purchasing, budget reporting, travel and reimbursements, and the distribution of institutional credit cards.
- Office of Campus and Community Safety Services
- Office of Environmental Health and Safety
- Office of Facilities: This office ensures that the buildings and grounds of Brooklyn College continue to be efficient and beautiful.
